Bloodborne pathogens in human blood are microorganisms that can cause infectious disease in humans. These microorganisms include, hepatitis B virus (HBV), hepatitis C virus (HCV) and human immunodeficiency virus (HIV). Workers in many occupations may be at risk of exposure to bloodborne pathogens. These including first aid team members, housekeeping personnel and nurses. Other healthcare personnel may be at risk of exposure to bloodborne pathogens through needle sticks and other sharps-related injuries.

Bloodborne Pathogens Course is a classroom/Online course that teaches susceptible workers how to protect themselves and others from being exposed to bloodborne pathogens.
This course meets Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) requirements for training to handle bloodborne pathogens when paired with site-specific instruction.
